ASUNCION, Paraguay, August 17, 2025. Today, the registration of the 32 pairs, 16 in each division (men’s and women’s), and the technical meeting were held, where all the details were explained about how the beach volleyball tournament at the II Junior Pan American Games Asuncion 2025 will be carried out.
The event begins this Monday, August 18, at the Pynandi Stadium of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee, with 24 matches: 12 in the men’s division and 12 in the women’s. The Brazilian pairs arrive as the defending champions, after winning the I Junior Pan American Games held in Cali, four years ago.
The tournament will begin with the Men’s Division. On the main court, the local team of Juanangel Gomez and Camilo Vargas will face Julian Bristol/Clerique Ward of Saint Kitts and Nevis at 10:00 AM (local time). At the same time, on court 2, the Salvadoran twin pair Yoel and Christopher Guardado will face Martin Etcheberry/Fernando Quintero of Chile.
Meanwhile, the Women’s Division will start at 11:30 AM (local time) on the main court, with the local pair Denisse Alvarez/Fiorella Nunez opening the tournament against the Nicaraguans Norma Brenes/Nahima Silva. At the same time, on the alternate court, Emma Donley/Portia Sherman of the United States will face Marisa Abdala/Maia Najul of Argentina.

The competition day is divided into two sessions: the first starts at 10:00 AM, with the last match at 1:45 PM; the second begins at 4:00 PM and concludes with the last match scheduled at 7:45 PM, alternating 4 men’s matches and 4 women’s matches, two per court.
