El Salvador Hosts the NORCECA Tour for second year in a row

SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador, November 7, 2024.- The Beach Sports Stadium at the Flor Blanca Sports Complex will host the NORCECA Beach Volleyball Tour for the second year in a row, with the eighth stage of the 2024 season taking place from November 8 to 10.

Thirty teams are registered for the competition (16 men’s teams and 14 women’s teams).

Among the men’s teams, Canada’s Arran Chambers, who won the gold medal last year here in El Salvador, teams up with Jake MacNeil, with whom he won the silver medal just a week ago in Bonaire during the Tour’s seventh stop.

Also representing Canada, Martin Licht and Luke de Greef, who made their debut in the NORCECA Tour, winning the bronze medal in Bonaire.

Nicaragua’s Ruben Mora and Dany Lopez, champions in Puerto Cortés, as well as Diego Pérez and Ryan Ierna from the United States, bronze medalists in Puerto Cortés, are also competing.

On the women’s side, Devanne Sours, gold medalist in Bonaire, arrives in El Salvador with Jade Race, who has won two consecutive bronze medals on this year’s Tour (Puerto Cortés, Bonaire).

The host competes with three teams per gender, led by twin brothers Yoel and Crhistopher Guardado, bronze medalists recently at the U23 NORCECA Tour in Punta Cana and third place during this year’s NORCECA Olympic qualifier.

Competition kicks off on Friday at 8:30 am.
