Puerto Rico 3 – Canada 1
Puerto Rico earned their second win, this time defeating Canada 3-1 (25-20, 28-26, 19-25, 25-20), powered by 19 points from Chareika Carrión González and double-digit scoring from Karielys Michelle Meléndez Rodríguez and Valeria Chloe Núñez Altagracia. With this result, Puerto Rico moves to 2 wins and 2 losses, just one step away from securing a spot in the tournament’s Round of 16. The loss drops Canada to 0-4, eliminating them from contention.
United States 3 – Croatia 0
The United States maintained their perfect record, edging a tight first set before finding their rhythm to claim a 3-0 (27-25, 25-17, 25-15) victory over Croatia. The win secures the Americans a place in the Round of 16, with their position—first or second in Pool B—to be decided on August 12 when they face China. Henley Anderson led with 14 points, followed by Elena Hoecke with 13 and Ayanna Watson with nine attacks and three aces.
Dominican Republic 0 – Korea 3
Korea’s quick transitions delivered a 3-0 (25-12, 25-20, 25-15) win over the Dominican Republic. Virelys Shantal Rivera was the top scorer for the Caribbean side with 8 points. The Dominicans must win their next match and rely on other results to keep their hopes of reaching the Round of 16 alive.
