We are known for our grit and battling until the end. We listened to our coach’s instructions, and, for the second set, we corrected our mistakes, paid close attention, and found areas for improvement. We are already in the quarterfinals, now it’s about continuing to improve, fine-tuning details, and going for more.”

Chilean middle blocker Esperanza Basualto commented: “We are a young team, with an average age of 17, and that’s why we lack a bit of grit and experience. We’ve had ups and downs, but we are satisfied with what we are building. Due to our age, we need more consistency and the ability to recover after losing a point.”
