CHITRÉ, Panama, October 17, 2024.- Adolfo Rivas of Guatemala was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 20th AFECAVOL U21 Central American Championship, held from October 11 to 17 at the Papa Francisco Gymnasium in Chitré, Panama.
Adolfo Rivas, from the undefeated champion Guatemala, received the MVP award at the conclusion of the event. Rivas was also recognized as the tournament’s Best Setter. Additionally, from Guatemala, Yeferson Zavala received the award for Second Best Spiker, and Josué González was named Best Digger.
Christian Flores of silver medalist Panama was honored as Best Server.
Eleazar Mejía of Belize was named Best Spiker, and his teammate Kaelen Ingram earned the recognitions of Best Opposite and Best Scorer (144 points). Belize won the bronze medal.
Fernando Navarro of El Salvador took home two awards: Best Libero and Best Receiver.
Jeremy Vanegas of Costa Rica was recognized as the Best Blocker, and Edwin Humphreys as the Second Best Blocker.
