JALAPA, Guatemala, October 22, 2025.– The athletes who will compete in the Beach Volleyball tournament of the 12th Central American Games Guatemala 2025, scheduled from October 24 to 28, were named Distinguished Visitors of the city of Jalapa.
The welcoming ceremony was held in a festive atmosphere, led by Jalapa Mayor Omar Camposeco and his Municipal Council, who presented medals and certificates to the athletes and participating delegations in recognition of their visit and the significance of this regional event.

Gerardo Aguirre, President of the Guatemalan Olympic Committee and of the Organizing Committee of the 12th Central American Games Guatemala 2025, delivered welcoming remarks, highlighting the spirit of unity and friendship that defines Central America. He also emphasized the value of these decentralized Games, which bring sports to different departments of Guatemala, strengthening regional integration.
Carlos Enrique Santis Rangel, President of the Guatemalan Volleyball Federation, welcomed the delegations and acknowledged the technical and organizational efforts that make both Volleyball and Beach Volleyball competitions possible during the Games.
The event was also attended by members of the NORCECA Volleyball Control Committee, international referees, national technical delegates, and representatives of the Local Organizing Committee.
The Beach Volleyball tournament will take place at the Jalapa Sports Complex, where a vibrant atmosphere filled with music, celebration, and the warmth of the local community is expected.
