Caribes de San Sebastián Strengthen Their Lead After Defeating Guaynabo

SAN SEBASTIÁN, Puerto Rico – November 29, 2025. – The Caribes de San Sebastián, playing at home at the Luis Aymat Cardona Coliseum, defeated Mets de Guaynabo 3-1 (25-23, 25-20, 21-25, 25-20) on Saturday night to remain solidly atop the standings in the Men’s Superior Volleyball League (LVSM).

With this victory, the Caribes secured all three points and extended their lead in first place with a 13-1 record and 35 total points. The Mets de Guaynabo, meanwhile, remain at the bottom of the table with a 2-12 record and just 9 points.

In team statistics, San Sebastián outperformed Guaynabo in attacks (54-47), blocks (11-10), digs (60-56), and passes (41-37). Both teams finished with three aces, while Guaynabo held a slight advantage in assists (17-16).

Caribes’ double-digit offense was led by Corey Chavers (23 points), Anthony Negrón (12), and Pelegrín Vargas Jr. (10). For Guaynabo, despite the loss, Inovel Romero stood out with 22 points, followed by Rafael Burgos with 10.
