Criollas and Pinkin Open Seventh Week with Victories in the LVSF

PONCE, Puerto Rico, February 25, 2026 – The seventh week of action in the Women’s Superior Volleyball League (LVSF) got underway with wins by the Criollas de Caguas and the Pinkin de Corozal on Wednesday night.

At Salvador Dijols court, the Criollas de Caguas withstood a strong push from the Leonas de Ponce, who forced the match into a fifth set, to ultimately secure the victory and return to the winning column after three consecutive losses.

Caguas prevailed with set scores of 25-23, 25-23, 21-25, 15-25 and 15-11.

With the win, Caguas earned two points to remain in second place in the standings with an 8-7 record and 25 accumulated points. Ponce, meanwhile, picked up one point in the loss and stayed in fifth place at 5-10 with 16 points.

In the decisive set, the Criollas jumped out to a commanding 7-0 lead, highlighted by a position four attack from Jenaisya Moore. The Leonas responded with a 10-4 run to trim the deficit to 11-10, still in favor of Caguas, but it was not enough to complete the comeback.

The Criollas sealed the set and the match with back-to-back blocks, one against Raymariely Santos and another against Jordan Wilson.

Caguas dominated Ponce 15-10 in blocks, while the Leonas held the edge in attacks (68-54), digs (127-109), receptions (49-41) and assists (20-12). Both teams finished with five service aces.

Caguas’ offense was distributed among Genesis Collazo (22 points), Jenaisya Moore (19), Alexandra Czech (13) and Diana Reyes (11). Collazo added five blocks as part of her production.

For Ponce, Jordan Wilson led the way with 29 points, followed by veteran Stephanie Enright with 20.

Corozal Gets Revenge Against Manatí

In the other match of the night, the Pinkin de Corozal avenged their previous loss to the Atenienses de Manatí, winning in four sets to claim the full three points from the contest.

Corozal improves to 8-7 with 24 points, moving into third place in the standings. Manatí remains in fourth place at 5-10 with 17 points after failing to add to its total.

The set scores were 25-22, 25-21, 23-25 and 25-22.

Upcoming Matches

LVSF action continues Friday, February 27, when the Cangrejeras de Santurce visit the Criollas de Caguas at the Roger Mendoza Coliseum beginning at 8:20 p.m.

In the other scheduled match, the Atenienses de Manatí travel to face the Valencianas de Juncos at Rafael G. Amalbert Coliseum, with first serve set for 8:30 p.m.
