CAGUAS, Puerto Rico, January 21, 2026. – In the Women’s Volleyball Superior League (LVSF) action, the Criollas de Caguas extended their unbeaten streak to three victories with a four-set win over the Leonas de Ponce at the Roger Mendoza Coliseum, while the Pinkin de Corozal successfully opened their season by sweeping the Atenienses de Manatí at the Carmen Zoraida Figueroa Coliseum.
Caguas defeated Ponce with set scores of 25–23, 25–23, 22–25, and 25–21.
The Criollas once again showed their dominance at the net with 19 positive blocks, after recording 28 in their previous match against the Atenienses de Manatí. Caguas’ offense was well balanced, led by Alexandra Sczech (17 points), Jenaisya Moore (15), and Stephanie Enright (13).
With the victory, the Criollas earned three points, improved their record to 3–0 (8 total points), and maintained sole possession of first place. Ponce fell to 0–2 with no points. The top scorer for Leonas was Gloria Mutiri, who finished with 21 points.
In team statistics, Caguas held the advantage in blocks (19–10) and digs (120–115), while Ponce led in attacks (57–53), service aces (2–0), receptions (46–40), and assists (22–16).
In the other match of the night, the Pinkin de Corozal opened the season with a 3–0 victory (25–18, 25–16, 25–20) over the Atenienses de Manatí.
With the win, Corozal improved its record to 2–0 (6 total points), while Manatí dropped to 1–2 (4 points).
