Tegucigalpa, Honduras, June 15, 2024. – Nicaraguan player Dalia Conto Calero was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the first edition of the Central American Women’s Final Four.
Conto Calero received the award during the closing ceremony after Nicaragua was crowned champion by winning all three of their matches. She was also named the Best Opposite.
Other awards were given to recognize individual performance based on statistical data during the event.
From Costa Rica, Tatiana Sayles received the award for Top Scorer, Tamara Espinoza was awarded Best Server and Second Best Spiker, and María José Castro was named Best Receiver and Best Libero. Yuliana González was honored as the Best Setter of the tournament.
For Honduras, Ana Gabriela Marcelin received the award for Best Blocker.
Among the champions, Brittany Forbes was named Best Spiker, Josefat Diaz was recognized as the Second Best Blocker, and Marcela Roa was awarded Best Defense, joining the tournament MVP in the honors.
