Dominica Clinches Victory Over Anguilla in ECVA U23 Men’s Championship

ST. JOHN, Antigua – November 13, 2025, Dominica solidified its position in the tournament with a commanding 3-0 victory against Anguilla at the 2025 ECVA U23 Men’s Championship, held at the YMCA in St. John’s.

The match concluded with set scores of 25-10, 27-25, and 25-18, marking Dominica’s second win of the competition, improving their record to 2-0 while Anguilla continues to seek their first triumph.

Dominica showcased a superior performance throughout the match, leading in both attacks (35-21) and serves (10-3). Although both teams recorded an equal number of blocks (3-3), the competitiveness was further highlighted by the closely matched error count, with Dominica committing 29 errors compared to Anguilla’s 26.

Dominica’s Captain and outside hitter, Larian Tulloch was the standout performer, leading all scorers with an impressive total of 10 points, comprised of 8 attacks and 2 aces. Following him was opposite hitter Sherron Vidal, who contributed 9 points through 7 attacks and 2 aces. For Anguilla, Captain Trevon Smith led his team with 8 points.

“We opened the match strongly, taking advantage of Anguilla’s errors,” commented Tulloch. He added, “It was a great win, even though I felt we lowered our level a bit too much. We played our game well, and hopefully, we can improve in the next games. I encourage my team to continue playing with confidence and to do their best.”

In contrast, Anguilla’s Captain Armani Richardson reflected on the match, stating, “As I mentioned before, we are a young team, and while we are putting up a good fight, we struggled to capitalize on our new tactics. We need to continue fighting and build our confidence.”
