Gdansk, Poland, September 27, 2022.- The Dominican Republic team won its second win in the same number of matches after beating Croatia in the Women’s World Championship.
The Queens of the Caribbean beat the Croatian team in straight sets with a score of 3-0 (25-20, 25-15, 25-21). The Dominican Republic was superior to the Croatians in attacks (48-37), in blocks (7-4) and in services (2-1).
Yonkaira Peña and Brayelín Martínez were the top scorers for Las Reinas with 15 points each, while Gaila González added 13. For Croatia, Samanta Fabris had 8 points followed by Lucija Mlinar who added 8 points.
The next commitment of the Dominican Republic is this September 28 against the Turkish team in the city of Gdansk, Poland.
