FIVB welcomes Brazil Football Confederation Academy to Volleyball House

December 6, 2025.- The FIVB this week welcomed a delegation from the Brazil Football Confederation (CBF) Academy, comprising of around 55 participants, to the Volleyball House in Lausanne, Switzerland. The visit offered attendees an in-depth overview of the FIVB’s Strategic Vision 2032 and the Global Volleyball Movement.

Representing the FIVB were President Fabio Azevedo, Secretary General Hugh McCutcheon, General Sports Director Steve Tutton, Administration and Finance Director Giuseppina Rigamonti, Head of International Affairs & Communications Anna Manuelian and Senior Legal Counsel Irene Aguiar. Chair of Volleyball World Michael Payne and Head of Hosting and Event Planning at Volleyball World Marcelo Hargreaves, also participated.

The programme began with a welcome reception at the Volleyball House, providing the delegation a first-hand look at the headquarters’ collaborative facilities. 

FIVB President Fabio Azevedo led a session on the FIVB Strategic Vision 2032, outlining the organisation’s priorities. The discussion highlighted how these pillars can empower and unite National Federations and how the participants of the CBF Academy programme could utilise these values within its own organisations.

The participants also heard from Michael Payne who presented his newly released book and shared some stories from his extensive experience within the Olympic Movement and sport business. The visit concluded with a presentation on ‘Good Governance at International Federations’ by Irene Aguiar.
