ST. JOHN, Antigua, November 13, 2025– Grenada showcased a stellar performance today, triumphing over St. Vincent with a decisive 3-0 victory (25-19, 25-17, 25-19) during the 2025 ECVA U23 Men’s Championship held at the YMCA in St. John’s, Antigua.
From the outset, Grenada demonstrated their superiority in all skill categories, leading in attacks (32-24), blocks (10-8), and serves (5-2). The match highlighted Grenada’s strong tactical execution, benefiting from a total of 21 errors from their opponents while committing 28 errors of their own.
Captain Evan Smith emerged as the star of the match, leading all scorers with 14 points (3 blocks, 11 attacks). Outside hitter Kibose Hamilton also made a significant contribution with 10 points (9 attacks, 1 block). For St. Vincent, Damari Frederick led his team’s efforts with 9 points.
Grenada maintained control throughout the match, utilizing powerful serves that prevented St. Vincent’s key player, Damari Frederick, from establishing his rhythm. The final set mirrored the previous ones, as Grenada’s strong serving strategies allowed them to seal the match without dropping a single set.
With this win, Grenada now holds a record of 1 win and 1 loss on the second day of the championship, while St. Vincent remains at 0-0. Both teams are determined to continue enhancing their gameplay as the tournament progresses.
