GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico, November 12, 2025. – In the only match on Wednesday night’s schedule in the Men’s Superior Volleyball League (LVSM), the Mets de Guaynabo, playing at home in the Mario “Quijote” Morales Coliseum, snapped a four-match losing streak by defeating the Gigantes de Carolina 3-1 (23-25, 25-21, 25-23, 25-20).
With this victory, Guaynabo claimed all three points from the match and moved up from eighth to sixth place, now holding a 2-6 record and a total of seven points.
Meanwhile, the Gigantes de Carolina remain in third place with a 4-4 record and 12 points, tied with the Plataneros de Corozal and Cafeteros de Yauco.
Leading two sets to one, the Mets entered the fourth set with a three-point lead (18-15) after a late error by Carolina’s Anthony Santos, and never looked back.
Guaynabo extended the lead to 20-16 following a service error by the Gigantes and effective attacking by Inovel Romero from position four against the block.
The Mets reached set point at 24-19 thanks to a block from Johansen Negrón and sealed the victory 25-20 with Negrón attacking from position two.
Guaynabo’s double-digit offense was led by Johansen Negrón and Inovel Romero, with 23 and 22 points respectively.
For Carolina, Félix Chapman contributed 28 points, followed by Cameron Milligan with 11 and Geraldo Rivera with 10.
