Honduras Advances to the Final; Guatemala and Nicaragua to Battle for the Other Spot in the Central American U15 Girls Invitational

MANAGUA, Nicaragua, December 12, 2025. – Honduras secured an unbeaten ticket to the grand final with a comfortable 3-0 victory over El Salvador (25-16, 25-6, 25-22), while Nicaragua defeated Belize 3-2 (21-25, 25-16, 25-16, 16-25, 15-9) to remain in contention for the other berth in the title match of the Second Central American U15 Girls Invitational.

Honduras completed its schedule with the win over El Salvador, improving its record to 4-0, which guarantees first place in the standings.

According to the competition system, the teams finishing first and second will contest the gold medal, while the third- and fourth-place teams will battle for bronze on the final day, scheduled for Sunday, December 14.

With its victory over Belize, Nicaragua moved to a 2-1 record, the same as Guatemala. Both teams will meet on Saturday to decide second place in the standings and the remaining spot in the gold-medal match.

HON 3–0 ESA

Honduras clinched the top spot in the tournament and a place in the final by defeating El Salvador without major difficulties, 3-0 (25-16, 25-6, 25-22).

The Honduran squad will rest on Saturday and await its opponent for the title match.

Without needing to push to the limit, Honduras did enough to secure the victory, outscoring its opponent in attack points (33-15) and service points (11-2). El Salvador led in blocking points (2-1), while committing 30 unforced errors compared to 25 by Honduras.

For Honduras, Luna Janania led the offense with 8 points. For El Salvador, María Sierra finished with 7 points.

NCA 3–2 BIZ

Nicaragua kept its hopes of reaching the final alive after defeating Belize in five tightly contested sets, 3-2 (21-25, 25-16, 25-16, 16-25, 15-9).

Nicaragua improved its record to 2-1, the same as Guatemala, whom they face on Saturday to determine second place in the standings.

Ixtchel Talavera led Nicaragua’s attack with 22 points, while Chloe Bowman stood out for Belize with 21 points.

Nicaragua capitalized on unforced errors, with Belize conceding 44 points to Nicaragua’s 33. Nicaragua also led in service points (17-14) and blocking points (3-2), while Belize held the edge in attack points (42-38).
