Managua Prepares to Host the Tenth Stop of the NORCECA Tour 2025

MANAGUA, Nicaragua, November 25, 2025.– The Paseo Xolotlán sports complex will host the tenth stop of the 2025 NORCECA Beach Volleyball Tour, scheduled to take place from November 28 to 30 in the Nicaraguan capital.

This will be the fourth time that this impressive venue welcomes the prestigious continental circuit, having previously hosted editions in 2019, 2022 and 2024.

A pre-registration of 17 teams per gender, representing 16 countries, has been received for this stop. The participating pairs will be officially confirmed during the preliminary inquiry on Thursday, November 27.

In the women’s field, the main favorites are Puerto Ricans María González and Allanis Navas, who are enjoying an outstanding 2025 season with seven medals: six gold and one bronze, including their recent victory at the ninth tour stop in Punta Cana. Also competing are Mexico’s Susana Torres and Atenas Gutiérrez, regular podium finishers during the first six stops and looking to return to the medal round after finishing off the podium in El Salvador and Punta Cana.

Canada’s Darby Dunn and Alison McKay, bronze medalists in Punta Cana and gold medalists in El Salvador, also stand among the top contenders.

In the men’s field, Mexico’s Miguel Sarabia will team up with Inés Vargas Lares. Sarabia has several podium finishes this year alongside Jorman Osuna, including gold in El Salvador and bronze in Tamaulipas and Puerto Cortés. Vargas arrives with a strong 2025 résumé with Carlos Andrés, earning gold in Puerto Cortés, silver in Paramaribo, and double bronze in Punta Cana.

Canada brings two strong teams: Robert Kemp and Cameron Chadwick, silver medalists in Manzanillo, and Luke de Greeff and Martin Licht, runners-up in El Salvador. Costa Rica joins the battle with Julián Araya and Jhostin Varela, bronze medalists in both El Salvador and Manzanillo.

From Cuba, Damián Gómez and Eblis Veranes come in with two bronze medals earned in Punta Cana and Guadalajara. The local representation will be led by Rubén Mora and Dany López, silver medalists in Varadero and the only Central American duo at the 2025 Adelaide World Championship, aiming to capitalize on the support of the Nicaraguan crowd.

The beach volleyball celebration returns once again to the vibrant city of Managua, which is gearing up for three days of high-level competition featuring the continent’s top teams.
