MANAGUA, Nicaragua, November 30, 2025.– Puerto Ricans María González and Allanis Navas once again delivered a standout performance on the sand, capturing their seventh gold medal of the 2025 NORCECA Beach Volleyball Tour after defeating Mexico’s Susana Torres and Atenas Gutiérrez 2-0 (21-15, 21-18) in Managua.
With an impenetrable defense and a serve that consistently disrupted the Mexican offense, González and Navas reaffirmed their dominance over Torres/Gutiérrez. González stood out with decisive blocks, while Allanis showcased her remarkable defensive talent, “flying” across the sand to save balls that seemed impossible against Atenas’ powerful hits and Susana’s attacks.
To reach the final, González/Navas solidly defeated the United States’ Katherine Reilly/Maya Gessner 2-0 (21-18, 21-15). Meanwhile, Torres/Gutiérrez advanced after a hard-fought battle against Canada’s Devin Corah/Tiadora Miric, winning 2-1 (21-14, 19-21, 15-12).
In the bronze-medal match, Reilly/Gessner defeated Corah/Miric 2-0 (21-12, 21-15).
