Matchday 4 Reshapes the LVP MX Women’s Standings

MEXICO, February 9, 2026.– Matchday 4 of the Women’s Volleyball Professional League MX, played on February 7–8, produced results that led to significant adjustments in the overall standings, particularly in the race for the top spots.

Coronelas remain the undefeated leaders, while Gigantes and Tapatías collected key points that reshuffle the competition heading into the upcoming matchdays.

Guerreras Venue
In the series played at Guerreras’ home court, Gigantes took center stage. On Friday, February 7, a very balanced match extended to five sets, with Gigantes claiming a 3-2 victory. Melanie Bazzana was named MVP.

On Saturday, February 8, Gigantes prevailed again, this time in straight sets (3-0), closing the series in convincing fashion. Angie Velásquez was recognized as the match MVP.

Tapatías Venue
Tapatías had a solid homestand against Leonas. On Friday, February 7, the team bounced back after dropping the first set to win the match 3-1, with Seomara Sainz earning MVP honors.

On Saturday, February 8, Tapatías repeated the 3-1 result, confirming their strong form this season. For the second consecutive match, Seomara Sainz was selected as the Most Valuable Player. With this recognition, she now has five MVP awards with Tapatías.

Coronelas Venue
Coronelas maintained their perfect run in the competition. On Friday, February 7, they defeated Freseras 3-0, showing dominance from start to finish. Victoria Caballero was the match MVP.

On Saturday, February 8, Coronelas again won by the same 3-0 scoreline, closing an ideal homestand. In this match, Dakota Faith Rogers-Hurtado was named MVP.
