COROZAL, Puerto Rico, April 2, 2026. – The quarterfinal round of the Women’s Superior Volleyball League (LVSF) concluded Thursday night with the final match of Section B, as the Pinkin de Corozal said goodbye to the postseason by earning their only win in four outings, defeating the Valencianas de Juncos at the Carmen Z. Figueroa court.
The match scores were 25-16, 25-16, and 25-22. With this result, Juncos finished its participation with a 2-2 record, securing the second ticket to the semifinals, while Santurce concluded with a 3-1 mark, also advancing as a semifinalist.
For Corozal, the offensive standout was Ivania Ortiz, who tallied 23 points. On Juncos’ side, no player reached double digits in scoring.
Corozal outperformed Juncos 46-28 in attacks, 8-3 in blocks, 5-3 in service aces, 55-42 in digs, and 21-12 in assists. The Valencianas led in receptions, 41-36.
Semifinal A, between the Valencianas de Juncos and the Cangrejeras de Santurce, will begin this Sunday, April 5, at 6:12 p.m. at the Roberto Clemente Coliseum.
The semifinals will be played in a best-of-seven series, with the first team reaching four victories advancing to the Final Series.
