Pinkin Return to Winning Ways Under Jamille Torres’ Leadership

COROZAL, Puerto Rico, February 4, 2026. – The Pinkin of Corozal returned to the winning column after three consecutive losses in the Women’s Superior Volleyball League (LVSF), sweeping the Leonas of Ponce 3-0 (25–18, 25–17, 25–18) on Wednesday night. The match marked the debut of Jamille Torres Rosario as head coach of the team following the departure of Raúl Papaleo.

Corozal dominated in attacks (38–28), blocks (5–3), service aces (5–3), digs (55–49), and receptions (27–26). The Leonas led in assists (14–6).

Corozal collected the three available points to improve its record to 4–3 with 13 accumulated points, moving into second place in the standings, while the Leonas remain fifth at 2–5 with five points.

Pinkin’s offense was led by Lindsay Krause (13 points) and Jordan Iliff (12 points). No Ponce player reached double digits in scoring.

On Thursday, February 5, the Criollas of Caguas (6–1, 16 pts.) will face the Cangrejeras of Santurce (3–0, 8 pts.) at 8:00 p.m. at the Roger Mendoza Coliseum in Caguas, while the Atenienses of Manatí (2–4, 9 pts.) will play the Valencianas of Juncos (1–5, 3 pts.) at 8:30 p.m. at Rafael G. Amalbert Coliseum.
