Ponce is ready for the XX Women’s Volleyball Pan American Cup

PONCE, Puerto Rico (August 4, 2023). – The president of the North American, Central American and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (NORCECA), Mr. Cristobal Marte Hoffiz, and the Control Committee, carried out the inspection of the Juan “Pachín” Vicéns Auditorium in Ponce, venue of the XX Women’s Senior Pan American Cup.

The Control Committee also visited the training fields for the 12 teams that will compete in the Pan American Cup from August 6 to 13, 2023, were presented by the local organizing committee under the supervision of the National Volleyball Federation of Puerto Rico.

the preliminary meeting of the teams will take place tomorrow for the official registration of their players.


The Pan American Cup will grant two spots to the women’s volleyball tournament of the XIX Pan American Games in Santiago 2023, which will take place from October 20 to November 5 in Chile. These two will complete the list of four representatives from the NORCECA Confederation in the Pan American Games, Dominican Republic and Mexico are already qualified. 

In Group A are the United States, Suriname, Colombia, Peru, Cuba and Canada. Group B is made up of Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Argentina, Costa Rica and Chile.
