SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, January 13, 2026. – The Puerto Rico Men’s Superior Volleyball League announced the official selection of the 2025 All-Star Team, chosen through a vote by the media and authorized representatives of the participating teams.
This year’s voting reflected strong support for several of the tournament’s standout figures, reaffirming the highly competitive level that characterized the season.
Among the players receiving the most support were Pelegrín Vargas Jr. of the Caribes de San Sebastián and Spencer Olivier of the Plataneros de Corozal, both surpassing 20 ballots in the voting for the outside hitter positions. Their offensive consistency, leadership, and presence in key moments made them clear favorites.
At the middle blocker position, Nick West of the Patriotas de Lares emerged as the most supported player, with around 18 ballots, reflecting his dominance at the net and his impact on both sides of the game.
Abraham Tamayo, of the Gigantes de Carolina, was selected as the second middle blocker on the All-Star Team.
Meanwhile, Jalen Penrose, opposite hitter for the Plataneros de Corozal, received more than 97% of the vote—one of the highest percentages recorded in the league’s recent history—confirming his status as an elite offensive weapon.
The setter position also showed a clear preference: Kevin Rodríguez, of the Cafeteros de Yauco, was chosen by the majority of voters thanks to his leadership, precision, and ability to run a dynamic and effective offense.
Finally, at libero, Luis Beltrán of the Gigantes de Carolina earned recognition for his defensive consistency, game awareness, and quiet yet decisive contribution in every match.
