Puerto Rico was superior in attacks 43-20, in blocks 5-2 and in serves 3-1.

Juan Carlos Núñez, coach of Puerto Rico: “We didn’t start the match in the best way, we weren’t synchronized. We haven’t played here for two days, so it’s a matter of getting into the rhythm a little more. We know that every match here is important for us, in preparation for the World Cup, so we’re done with this one. Now, let’s train tomorrow to prepare for Cuba.”

José Miguel Briceño, Costa Rica coach: “It was a better match than yesterday’s against Mexico, the girls felt better with their serve, they got used to the court better, we had our moments in the first two sets. Then, with their serve, Puerto Rico pushed us away from the net and they were successful on the counterattack.”
