JOHN’S, Antigua – November 12, 2025 – In a stellar performance, Saint Lucia swept St. Vincent 3-0 (25-17, 26-24, 25-12) during the 2025 ECVA U23 Men’s Championship held at the YMCA in St. John’s, Antigua. This victory puts Saint Lucia firmly on track to dominate the tournament, showcasing their potential as strong contenders for the championship title.
Saint Lucia had a strategic edge throughout the match, leading with 30-28 in attacks, 2-1 in blocks, and demonstrating impressive serving with a 10-3 advantage in service points. However, both teams faced challenges, as Saint Lucia committed 34 errors compared to St. Vincent’s 21.
Outside Hitter Daniel Mayers-James stood out for Saint Lucia, leading the team with 12 points, while fellow Outside Hitter Giovanni Francois contributed 10 points. For St. Vincent, Captain Damari Frederick was a key player, earning 16 points, supported by Opposite Tayon Burgin, who added 6 points to the scoreboard.
