Lodz, Poland, October 1, 2022.- The Serbian team beat the United States team, giving them their first loss in this Women’s Volleyball World Cup.
The Serbs defeated the US team in straight sets with a score of 3-0 (25-20, 25-23, 25-15) to leave the Americans with a 4-1 record in the tournament. The Serbs outperformed the United States in attacks (38-30), in blocks (13-1), while in services both teams had 3 apiece.
For Serbia Tijana Boskovic had 25 points and Jovana Stevanovic and Sara Lozo added 8 each. For the United States, Kara Bajema scored 6 points and Andrea Drews and Haleigh Washington added 5 points respectively.
Serbia ends this preliminary phase of the World Cup without defeat with a record of 5-0.
