St Lucia took one hour and 53 minutes to complete the win, thus ended the Pool flawless, trumping all three matches.
There were four players who were double figures contributors for St Lucia.
Sheldon Descartes scored 18 points; Tevin St Jean- 16, Anfernee Ferdinand- 13 and 10 came from Darnel Eudoxie.
Scoring the bulk of the points for St Maarten were Rajheem Meulens with 17 and 13 were scored by Riegmar Valies.
St Lucia’s Head Coach- Terry Verdant, despite the margin of victory, was not satisfied with the various passages of play.
“ We struggled a lot in the reception in the third set and although we were able to make amends in the fourth set, overall we have to improve in this area in our semi- final match”, Verdant emphasised.
Clayton Holiday, Head Coach of St Maarten after the match stated: “ We were unable to put it together in this the last preliminary match… We had a break in between the matches and that did not work for us … We start again in the semi-finals and I believe the guys have what it takes
Holiday said he, his coaching staff and players are ready and raring for whosoever are their semi- final opponents.
