St. Vincent, Secures Fifth Place at U23 Men’s Championship with Victory Over Anguilla

ST. JOHN’S, Antigua, November 16, 2025 – St. Vincent clinched fifth-place finish at the ECVA U23 Men’s Championship, emerging victorious against Anguilla with a four-set win of 3-1 (24-26, 25-17, 25-19, 25-21) on Sunday at the YMCA in St. John’s, Antigua.

The match showcased both teams battling for supremacy, but St. Vincent capitalized on crucial errors from Anguilla, accumulating a total of 44 errors compared to 42 from their opponents. In terms of offensive performance, St. Vincent demonstrated their prowess with 42 attacking points, while Anguilla managed 27.

Captain Damari Frederick stood out as St. Vincent’s top performer, leading the team with 17 points. Not far behind, Alexander contributed 14 points, and Tariq added 11 points to secure the team’s victory.

Anguilla’s Trevon Smith was a notable performer on their side, finishing as the match’s highest scorer with 11 points, supported by Shaquoy Reid, who added 9 points to the scoreboard.

St. Vincent’s victory reflects their determination and teamwork throughout the championship, showcasing their potential for future competitions.
