Stanley Grant of Costa Rica Named MVP of the Central American Games

GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala, October 21, 2025.– Costa Rica’s Stanley Grant was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the men’s volleyball tournament at the 12th Central American Games Guatemala 2025, held from October 17 to 21 at Teodoro Palacios Flores Gymnasium.

Grant’s explosive offense and leadership on the court were decisive for Costa Rica’s success and their gold-medal victory, securing the nation’s third men’s volleyball title in the history of the Central American Games. In addition to the MVP award, Grant also earned First Best Spiker and Best Receiver, showcasing his complete all-around performance.

Men Individual awards

Belize’s Francis Hauze received the Second Best Spiker honor, while Jeremy Vanega of Costa Rica and Kyron Sutherland of Belize were named First and Second Best Blockers, respectively.

Nicaragua’s Axel Gutiérrez stood out as one of the event’s top players, earning Best Opposite, Best Server, and Best Scorer, highlighting his consistency and attacking power.

From Honduras, Héctor Ortiz earned double recognition as Best Libero and Best Digger for his outstanding defensive contributions and floor coverage.

Guatemala’s Adolfo Rivas was awarded Best Setter for his skillful distribution and playmaking throughout the tournament.
