USA celebrates defeating Dominican Republic

U.S. Coach Jamie Morrison: It was nice to be pushed. The Dominicans have always been a good rival of the United States. I was happy they pushed us a little bit. We got to learn some things about our team. I’m sure tomorrow night will be a battle.

Wagner Pacheco, coach of Dominican Republic: A tough game. We knew that the United States is a very strong team but I think we played well and kept up a good level of play. It is difficult to play against the United States. We are prepared and rested for tomorrow from where we can leave with a bronze medal. In short, happy.
