JUNCOS, Puerto Rico, February 11, 2026. – While the Valencianas de Juncos dominated the Pinkin de Corozal in four sets, the Cangrejeras de Santurce and the Atenienses de Manatí had to dig deep to secure five-set victories during Wednesday’s action in the Women’s Superior Volleyball League (LVSF).
Valencianas defend home court and earn three points
At Rafael G. Amalbert court, the Valencianas de Juncos collected the full three available points by defeating Corozal 25-18, 25-19, 18-25, 25-22.
With Juncos leading 2-1 in sets, both teams were tied at 20 in the fourth. From there, Juncos strung together four straight points: a back-row attack by Haley Bush, a deflected spike by Jordan Iliff, an effective finish by Naya Gross after an overpass by the Pinkin, and another deflected hit by Ivania Ortiz for a 24-20 advantage. Juncos sealed the match 25-22 following a service error by Ortiz.
The Valencianas improved to 3-7 with 9 points, moving into fifth place. Corozal earned no points in the loss and remains third at 5-4 with 15 points.
Juncos’ offense was led by Bush (25 points), Gross (21) and Leandra Mangual (16).
Juncos led in attacks 72-55 and in digs 98-82. Both teams recorded 12 assists, while Corozal held the edge in blocks (7-6), aces (5-3) and receptions (54-39). For the Pinkin, Ivania Ortiz scored 18 points, followed by Lindsay Krause and Iliff with 17 each, plus 10 from Adriana Rodríguez.
Atenienses stun Caguas in dramatic five-setter
At Juan Aubín Cruz Coliseum, the Criollas de Caguas and the Atenienses de Manatí went the distance, with the visitors claiming victory 26-28, 25-18, 25-19, 13-25, 16-14.
Manatí reached match point first at 14-12 with a zone-four attack by Chareika Carrión. Caguas responded with two straight points: a service error by Emily Elliot and a block by Genesis Collazo against Carrión.
The Atenienses survived thanks to two Criollas errors — a missed serve by Andrea Serra and a deflected attack by Valeria Flores.
Manatí’s offense was led by Elliot (35 points) and Carrión (14). For Caguas, Collazo scored 21, Diana Reyes 12, and Ana Sofía Jusino 10.
Caguas, which earned one point in the loss, now stands at 6-4 with 18 points, remaining in second place. Manatí improved to 3-6 with 12 points, sitting fourth.
Cangrejeras preserve unbeaten record against determined Leonas
At Salvador Dijols court, the Cangrejeras de Santurce protected their undefeated record but needed five sets to overcome the spirited Leonas de Ponce. Scores were 25-13, 25-22, 23-25, 14-25, 17-15.
With the win, Santurce earned 2 points, improved to 7-0 with 19 points, and remained atop the standings. Ponce, despite the loss, gained one point and now stands at 3-6 with 8 points.
Santurce’s offense was balanced, led by Neira Ortiz (16 points), followed by Helena Grozer, Tamara Otene and Kara McGhee with 14 each, and Andrea Rangel with 11. For the Leonas, Jordan Wilson shined with 28 points, while Stephanie “Fefa” Enright and Abby Akey added 13 apiece.
