Winning a match after so many years was a huge challenge for us, and it’s a joy because it gives us a little more energy at the start of this cycle. We hope to qualify for a playoff and continue gaining experience, gradually returning to the place Venezuela once held.”
Matthew Krueger, Canada coach: “Venezuela played very well. We came out strong, following our game plan, but Venezuela started the second set with more energy, and we broke away from our game plan and tried to do more than we could, that was a learning opportunity for us, and we hope to continue improving along the way with those lessons.”
