February 28, 2026.- Moroccan Royal Volleyball Federation (FRMVB) President M. Abdelhamid Ouaqouaq and General Secretary Fahd Ouazzani Chahidi were welcomed this week to the Volleyball House to discuss the development of sport in the country.
Since 2017, the FRMVB and its national teams have received USD 364,000 in Volleyball Empowerment support across 14 projects. This has included coach support for both men’s and women’s indoor and beach volleyball national teams, equipment support and knowledge transfer initiatives through coach and referee development programmes.
In recent years, Morocco’s beach volleyball national teams have enjoyed increasing success in competitions. Last year, the country’s men’s and women’s teams topped the podium at the CAVB Beach Volleyball Championships, winning both titles. African champions Morocco also competed at the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships in Adelaide last November.
Discussions during the meeting focused on building on this momentum and continuing to strengthen the development of both volleyball and beach volleyball across Morocco.
