USA remains undefeated in Final Six

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, August 24, 2023.- The United States improved its record to 4-0 after defeating Cuba in straight sets 3-0 (25-20, 25-15, 25-19) in the NORCECA Pan American Cup Final Six that is played in the Ricardo Gioriber Arias Volleyball Pavilion.

Logan Eggleston led the American attack with 14 points followed by Madeleine Gates and Brooke Nuneviller each one of them with 10. For the Cuban team Ivy Vila collected 9 points.

The United States outscored Cuba in spikes 38-27, in blocks 6-4 and in serves 10-5.

Sarah Parsons, captain of the United States: I think that in general our team did a good job, we prepared very well, they put pressure on us at times but we knew how to stay calm and fight back.

Grettel Moreno, captain of Cuba: My opinion about the match is that perhaps Cuba could have presented itself with a better form, reduce unforced errors and work a little more on the attack. I feel that today the attack, which is one of our strengths, is not handled very well.
