Cuba defeats Mexico in four sets

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, August 24, 2023.- In a close match that extended to 4 sets, Cuba was able to recover after losing the first set to defeat Mexico 3-1 (22-25, 27-25, 25-15 , 25-21) in the NORCECA Final Six Pan American Cup that is being held at the “Ricardo Arias” Volleyball Palace.

The Cuban offense had 5 players in double figures led by Dezirett Madan and Greisy Fine with 14 points each followed by Ivy Vila with 13, Laura Suarez who added 12 and Jessica Aguilera with 12 points. For Mexico, the best was Karen Rivera with 21 points followed by Grecia Castro and Daniela Siller with 15 and 10 points respectively.
