SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, July 20, 2026. – The region’s top beach volleyball pairs are set to battle for the 25th Central American and Caribbean Games glory when the Santo Domingo 2026 tournament takes place from July 25 to 31 at the Malecón Deportivo.
The venue, with a seating capacity of 450 spectators, will host 104 matches over seven days of competition. Preliminary-round action begins on July 25, while the tournament concludes on July 31 with the men’s and women’s gold medal matches.
A total of 20 pairs per gender will compete in four pools of five. The top two pairs from each pool will advance to the championship quarterfinals, while the remaining pairs will continue in classification matches to determine the final standings.
Puerto Rico enters the women’s tournament as the defending champion after defeating Dominican Republic in a thrilling three-set final to claim their first-ever Central American and Caribbean gold medal at San Salvador 2023. Mexico claimed the bronze medal, while the Dominican Republic will look to turn home-sand advantage into a return to the top of the podium.
Mexico will defend the men’s title won at San Salvador 2023, where it defeated Nicaragua in the championship match. Nicaragua returns after earning the silver medal in the previous edition, while Cuba captured the bronze medal, setting the stage for another highly competitive tournament.
