Cristóbal Marte Hoffiz Confirmed as FIVB First Vice President

PORTO, Portugal, November 17, 2024.- During the 39th FIVB World Congress, held in Porto, Portugal, from November 15 to 17, Cristóbal Marte Hoffiz, President of the NORCECA Confederation, was reelected as First Vice President of the FIVB with an overwhelming 98% of the votes cast by the delegates in attendance. 

Marte Hoffiz has held this prominent position since 2008, a period marked by his exceptional leadership and dedication to the global growth of volleyball. His reelection reaffirms the international volleyball community’s confidence in his ability to continue driving strategic initiatives and promoting the development of the sport worldwide.

In his remarks of gratitude, Marte Hoffiz expressed his appreciation for the delegates’ support and emphasized the importance of collaborative work to address the challenges and opportunities in global volleyball.
