BRIENVENGAT, Curaçao, July 20, 2026. – Curaçao successfully defended its Caribbean title on home court, defeating Barbados in straight sets (25-12, 25-18, 25-17) to capture the 2026 CAZOVA Men’s Final Four Championship in front of an energetic home crowd at SDK.
The hosts came out firing in the opening set, racing to an early 5-0 lead before extending their advantage to 9-1. Curaçao maintained complete control throughout the set, dominating both offensively and defensively to close it out convincingly, 25-12.
Barbados responded with greater intensity in the second set, keeping the scores level at 4-4 before Curaçao edged ahead 10-6. After a Barbados timeout, the visitors battled back to tie the score at 10-10, but the defending champions quickly regained control, moving ahead 15-12. Barbados used its second timeout trailing 18-15, but Curaçao remained composed and finished the set 25-18.
The third set proved to be the most competitive, with Barbados taking an early 4-3 lead before both teams were locked at 9-9. Curaçao gradually created separation, leading 18-16 and later 22-17, before sealing the championship with a 25-17 victory.
Curaçao’s coach still overjoyed about the results left a message to Caribbean volleyball. “Curaçao is here to stay, as we just showcased what we are made of “
With the straight-sets triumph, Curaçao once again stands on top Caribbean men’s volleyball, successfully defending its regional crown and celebrating another historic championship in front of its home supporters.
