Brienvengat, CURAÇAO, July 19, 2026. – Defending champions Curaçao completed an unbeaten preliminary round campaign at the 2026 CAZOVA Men’s Final Four Championship after defeating Barbados 3-1 on Sunday.
Barbados came out firing to claim the opening set 25-20, putting the hosts under early pressure. Curaçao, however, responded with the composure of champions, dominating the second set 25-14 before edging a competitive third set 25-23 to take control of the match.
With momentum firmly on their side, Curaçao closed out the contest in the fourth set, 25-18, to secure their third consecutive preliminary-round victory and remain undefeated heading into the championship match.
Both coaches admitted that they went into the game aware that they will face each other in the finals, therefore using this match as an opportunity to feel out the opponents and give all their players a chance to show what they can contribute.
The victory confirms a highly anticipated rematch between Curaçao and Barbados in the tournament final, where Barbados will have another opportunity to challenge the unbeaten hosts for the 2026 CAZOVA Men’s Final Four title.
