GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala, August 9, 2026.- Diego Rondón of Venezuela was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 2026 Boys’ U17 Pan American Cup, held from August 4 to 9 in Guatemala.
Rondón’s leadership and consistency were instrumental in Venezuela finishing the tournament undefeated and claiming the championship. He was also recognized as Best Opposite, reflecting his contribution to the South American team’s success.

Venezuela earned three additional awards. Benjamín García was named First Best Spiker, Julio Calles received the Best Server award, and Jhonny González was recognized as Best Digger.
Canada received two awards: Julián Josephs was named Best Scorer and Liam Bendavid was recognized as First Best Middle Blocker.
Mexico’s Francisco Merino received the Second Best Spiker award, while Honduras’ Edwin Guity was recognized as Second Best Middle Blocker.
Puerto Rico also stood out among the award recipients. Héctor Lavergne received the Best Setter award, while Adrián Figueroa earned both Best Receiver and Best Libero honors.
