Dominican Republic Defending Title at NORCECA Women’s Final Six

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, August 17, 2023 – Dominican Republic is set to defend its title in the third edition of  the NORCECA Women’s Final Six Cup, to take place from August 20 to 26 at the Ricardo Gioriber Arias Volleyball Palace, in the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center in Santo Domingo.

“Las Reinas del Caribe” (The Queens of the Caribbean) will be competing alongside Canada, Cuba, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and the United States.

Dominicans have won both editions of the event, United States has one silver medal and one bronze, Mexico has one silver medal and Puerto Rico one bronze.

Teams are expected to arrive in Santo Domingo on Friday 18, to kick off the round-robin preliminary stage from Sunday 20 to Thursday 24. The top four teams will compete in the Saturday’s semifinals and the medal matches will take place on Sunday.
