FIVB strengthens ties with Algeria in push toward Strategic Vision 2032

LAUSANNE, Switzerland, May 7, 2026.- The FIVB reinforced its commitment to growing volleyball across Africa with a high-level meeting with the Algerian Volleyball Federation (AVF) today, bringing together key figures from both continental and global volleyball leadership.

The meeting, attended by AVF President Mohand Tamadartaza and African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) President Bouchra Hajij, centred on continuing the alignment of the AVF with the FIVB’s ambitious Strategic Vision 2032 – a roadmap designed to elevate volleyball in every corner of the world.

The discussions also highlighted concrete steps already being taken on the ground in Algeria, including a recent FIVB coaches’ course.

The meeting with AVF and the CAVB was a direct expression of FIVB’s Strategic Vision, as it looks to build a more connected, more united and more empowered Global Volleyball Movement.
