TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras, June 26, 2026. – The second edition of the AFECAVOL U17 Girls’ Central American Championship will take place from June 29 to July 4 at Jorge Galeano Gymnasium in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, bringing together six national teams from across the region to compete for the Central American title.
The participating teams have been divided into two pools. Pool A features Costa Rica, Guatemala, and El Salvador, while Pool B includes Nicaragua, Belize, and host Honduras.
Costa Rica enters the tournament as the defending champion after capturing the inaugural title in 2024. Nicaragua finished as runner-up, while Guatemala claimed the bronze medal.
Pool play will be held from June 29 to July 1. The winners of each pool will advance directly to the semifinals on July 3, while the second- and third-place teams will compete in the quarterfinals. The tournament will conclude on July 4 with the bronze and gold medal matches.
