Rotterdam, The Netherlands, October 7, 2022.- The Japan team suffered its third setback against Puerto Rico in phase 2 of the Women’s Volleyball World Championship.
The Japanese defeated Puerto Rico in straight sets 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-21) to put their record at 2-1 in this second stage of the Championship.
For Japan Kotona Hayashi had 15 points, Arisa Inoue added 14 and Haruyo Shimamura contributed another 12. For the Puerto Rican team Stephanie Enright and Pilar Victoria had 9 points each and Diana Reyes and Neira Ortiz had 8 respectively.
Puerto Rico’s next commitment will be on October 9 against the Argentine team.
