Men’s U21 Pan American Cup Set for Action in Guatemala City

GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala, June 20, 2026. – The future stars of the Americas will take center stage at the 2026 NORCECA Men’s U21 Pan American Cup, scheduled from June 23 to 28 at Teodoro Palacios Flores  Gymnasium in Guatemala City, Guatemala. Eight teams will compete for the title in one of NORCECA’s premier age group events.

The participating teams have been divided into two pools. Group A features defending champion United States, Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Venezuela, while Group B includes host Guatemala, Canada, Costa Rica, and Nicaragua.

The tournament will open with a preliminary round from June 23 to 25, followed by quarterfinals on June 26. Semifinal matches are scheduled for June 27, and the medal matches and final classifications will be played on June 28.

The opening day schedule features Mexico against Venezuela and the United States facing the Dominican Republic in Group A, while Canada meets Nicaragua and host Guatemala takes on Costa Rica in Group B.

The United States enters the competition as the defending champion, with the tournament serving as an important development platform for the region’s top young talent and an opportunity for teams to gain valuable international experience.
