Mexican Volleyball Federation Begins New Period with Jesús Perales Navarro as President

MONTERREY, Nuevo León, January 18, 2025. – The Mexican Volleyball Federation (FMVB) celebrated the beginning of a new four-year term, during which Jesús Perales Navarro was reaffirmed as president, strengthening his leadership in the promotion and development of volleyball at both national and international levels.

The event was honored by the distinguished presence of Cristóbal Marte Hoffiz, President of NORCECA; Mari José Alcalá, President of the Mexican Olympic Committee; Melody Falcó Díaz, General Director of Nuevo León’s Sports Institute (INDE), and Arateide Cáceres Hernández, General Director of NORCECA, all of whom endorsed the Federation’s projects.

Special guests also attended and received recognition in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the 1974 Volleyball World Championship.

During the meeting, key topics for the new term were addressed, including the planning of national and international events, strengthening the men’s and women’s national teams, and further development of beach volleyball. These initiatives aim to enhance the presence of Mexican volleyball on the global stage, solidifying FMVB as a regional leader.

By unanimous decision, the 2025-2029 Board of Directors was appointed, constituted of the following members: President, Jesús Perales Navarro; Vice President of Major Divisions, Rodolfo Loyo; Vice President of Minor Divisions, Nubia Barraza; General Secretary, MAPE Jesús Macías; Technical Secretary, Carlos Novoa; Treasurer, Teresita Garrido; Comptroller, Adriana Ramírez; Legal Advisor, Valentín Arzola; Vocal Medallista: C. Blanca García.  For the first time, the Board is made up of four men and four women, a structure that reflects the Federation’s commitment to fostering balance, inclusivity, and innovative ideas. This composition seeks to establish new standards of collaboration and unity to strengthen volleyball’s development.

With this new beginning, the FMVB reaffirms its commitment to the integral development of athletes, coaches, and clubs across the country, laying a strong foundation for the next four years.
