Aime Topete, top scorer of Mexico: “We did well, it was a good victory. Mexico made its debut winning and I made my debut in the senior national team. The team is prepared for any kind of pressure, I know my teammates and I will do well against stronger opponents. The fans’ support will be crucial for the whole tournament”.

Dalia Calero, top scorer of Nicaragua: “Mexico is a strong team, with players that play overseas. We knew it was going to be difficult. We were looser in the first set, but our receiving fell in the next two because we were pressuring ourselves to perform well. We must improve in reception and blocking. In Central America we have a better level, but here the teams have more reach than us”.
