SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, January 19, 2024. – Professor Nelson Ramírez, Director of the NORCECA-FIVB Regional Volleyball Development Center in the Dominican Republic, expresses confidence in a successful plan of activities for the Center in 2024.
Under the slogan “Knowledge is the Key to Development”, Nelson Ramírez embarks on a new beginning of training programs offered by the Regional Center, “year after year, the Regional Center provides the necessary support to carry out activities that contribute to the growth, development, and improvement of volleyball in the region; this year is no exception, I am confident that all the program scheduled will be once again a successful one”.
With the sponsorship of NORCECA and FIVB, the 2024 activity plan already includes a variety of courses for coaches, referees, and physical education teachers who will have the opportunity to strengthen their knowledge through new tools that they can implement in their countries.
The training programs provided by the Regional Center are led by FIVB-certified instructors with extensive experience in indoor and beach volleyball.
Professor Ramírez urges National Federations to promote the activities of the Regional Center and make new proposals to strengthen the development of volleyball in their countries.
“Just as we have started in Puerto Rico with two courses for Continental indoor and beach volleyball Referees from January 19-25, and soon we will be in Cuba to offer an International Level I Coaches Course from February 18-25, I encourage more countries to host training sessions, courses or workshops” said Professor Ramírez.
The effort made by participants in these courses, putting in intense work and gaining experience, is recognized by the Regional Center with certificates and diplomas that enrich their resume.
Professor Ramírez concluded by saying, “our development will lead us to greater achievements”.
