Nineteen Countries Set for Men’s Beach Volleyball at Santo Domingo 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, July 23, 2026. – The men’s beach volleyball tournament at the Santo Domingo 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games gets underway this Saturday at 9:00 a.m. (local time), with 19 pairs representing 19 countries competing for the regional title.

Defending champion Mexico returns looking to retain the gold medal, this time with the new pairing of Carlos Andrés Ayala e Ines Vargas Lares

Nicaragua’s Jefferson Cascante and Rubén Mora, silver medalists at the San Salvador 2023 Games, will look to climb one step higher on the podium after finishing second three years ago.

The tournament features four preliminary pools—three with five teams and one with four. The top two teams from each pool will advance to the quarterfinals, while the remaining teams will continue in the classification rounds.

Pool A: Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Guatemala, Grenada

Pool B: Mexico, Costa Rica, U.S. Virgin Islands, Bermuda, Cayman Islands

Pool C: Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Honduras, Martinique

Pool D: El Salvador, Cuba, Trinidad and Tobago, Belize, Antigua and Barbuda
