SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, August 30, 2024.- The North, Central America, and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation NORCECA extends its heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Ramon Suzara on his election as the new President of the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC).
Ramon Suzara of the Philippines was elected the President of the Asian Volleyball Confederation during the organization’s elective General Assembly in Bangkok, Thailand, which is a testament to his exemplary leadership and profound dedication to the sport of volleyball for many years.
The newly elected AVC President, who is also currently serving as the President of the Philippine National Volleyball Federation, will hold office for the next four years, from 2024 to 2028.
The trust and confidence placed in Mr. Ramon Suzara by the AVC governing bodies highlight the exceptional and visionary skills he brings to this new role.
NORCECA President, Mr. Cristobal Marte Hoffiz has developed an extraordinary friendship for many years, since 1992 and he has full confidence that under Suzara’s leadership, AVC will go into a new era of development to achieve new milestones in the realm of volleyball.
NORCECA looks forward to initiating a partnership and collaboration with Mr. Suzara and AVC; and is excited to continue within FIVB and NORCECA the prospects and opportunities for the global development of volleyball, eager to support and work alongside with him in these endeavors.
